The Friends of Scenic Lodi Valley had an opportunity to assist in protecting a parcel of land in Okee from future development and preserve it in its natural state. An application was submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for a grant under the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program. The project was not funded by the DNR. The land remains in private hands and is again for sale. The Top of the Hill Team is inactive at this time pending any potential changes in the situation.
